I just love the continued remembrance of the memories and life of Dan. I am a sinner but saved by grace. I can so relate to Dan,s life. Still sad about his passing but rejoicing in his continued legacy that I am a part of.

He taught me so much and I am grateful for that. I do miss him. I had privilege of meeting him and Yvonne in Laurel Mississippi a few years ago. What a legacy he leaves behind.
There is so much positive and inspirational that I could say about Dan. Therefore in brevity I will stick to #1 item in my Admiration of Dan.
About 9 years ago, I listened to Dan off and on over the AFR station for over a year. I learned stock and financial information. I couldn’t believe how INTELLIGENT Dan was. I mean, 95% of the questions asked of Dan, he could answer from his knowledge and experience not only with Godly wisdom, but with the earthly facts of the IRA rules, laws, ins and outs of the subject…. and OFF THE CUFF!
For that year, I didn’t subscribe, trying to figure our his angle. Where was he going to make his money? I mean financial Advisors charge 1.2%. Wait / What … for only $45.00 per year you could get his special Stock picks?!
I became a Partner , started with his Picks, did moderately well. For 7 years I followed Dan, bought from his Buy list and his Asset Allocation Model for my age. If he was speaking anywhere close to my area, I (now retired) would go. I met him in person at least 6 times. I donated occasionally. He was always kind, over the radio or in person!
By listening almost daily I got to know his heart. At say, year 3, the light bulb went off in my head. I realized the answer to my earlier question about his angle.

I and my wife miss him every Day. We pray that Shanna’s feet will grow into Dan’s empty shoes.
I begged God to heal Dan if it was His will. I listened to Dan for a several years and was a partner also. His personality was so big. He touched my heart.

Even though many of us, the FISM partners, never met Dan face to face, I believe our true bond has been in our love for Christ, not in financial issues. Dan’s wisdom and guidance on behalf of those of us who strive to be good stewards of God’s gracious provisions, is beyond measure. I’m so thankful. May the Lord pour out His abundant blessings and peace over your daily lives.

I met Dan once, at a town hall in Houston. I listened to him most days on AFR. I can’t believe he’s gone. I know what it’s like to have such a wonderful, wonderful father. It’s so hard to let them go. The Lord comforts us.
What a true blessing to this world! Dan touched the lives of so many and brought countless people to believe in the goodness of being a faithful servant to The Lord. Thank you Celia family for sharing Dan with us. You are all in our prayers. Dan is in the arms of Jesus now.

I never had the privilege of meeting Dan, but I became a partner not that long ago. I feel like I knew him and Yvonne just from listening to him on the radio everyday. Yvonne, he loved you dearly. I lost my husband 17 years ago when our girls were only 9,5 and 5 mos old. Hold onto those memories. They are a treasure. What a wonderful legacy he has left behind. I know you all will continue to carry it on in honor of Dan and most importantly the Lord.
Dan was a great help to us with our investments. We have been members for several years. We looked forward to listening to him everyday. He was an inspiration to us and we knew what was going on in the world. We truely miss him and look forward to seeing him again in heaven. I am a FISM partner and listener to dans Bible study. I can’t say what Dan has meant to me in my life. Because of him I can be assured that my investments are biblically responsible and that I can live a life pleasing to God by using my resources wisely . Because of Dan I also support pre born ministries and India partners and many other worthwhile charities. Never met Dan but look forward to the day I do. Dan was such a blessing and such a godly man. He was an exceptional, spirit-filled leader and a living example of how God can use just one of us to impact this world! I am so thankful to have had the honor of learning how to use God’s financial blessings through Dan’s dedication to serve God’s people and share the financial wisdom he learned and kept abreast of every day. I hope Dan is in peace now. I know he was having lung problems for a number of years. It was not a surprise to me but it was a shock. I listen to him every day he was live on the air. I did ask several times over the last few years if he had plans for a replacement. I was told no but he was working on finding someone. I so miss Dan and I am waiting for someone to fill in for him on the partner page. I can’t listen to the show anymore. I do want to stay a partner, been one for about 4 years.
I hope he is happy with God now.

Taken too early in life….He will be missed by his earthly family, FISM family and all who truly knew him!
