One of the hardest and most thankless jobs in the universe, perhaps the hardest, is being a mother. The scripture tells us clearly that the fall of man resulted in unique curses on both men and women. On men, the curse was the promise of death as well as work that was toilsome. On women, it was pain in chidbearing and childrearing. Motherhood is a painful job.
