The Oakland Athletics have officially agreed to a new stadium deal in Las Vegas.
The move comes after weeks of speculation that the A’s would follow the Raiders and move East to Sin City. The deal provides the team with a 35-acre complex site, which will include a new 30,000 seat baseball stadium.
Though the new stadium will likely not be completed until the 2027 season, the Athletics are looking to flee Oakland as soon as possible.
This could be as early as 2025, with the A’s playing the next two years at the Triple-A Las Vegas Aviator’s ballpark.
