Betts admits Red Sox used video to steal signs during 2018 season

News broke this week involving the MLB sign-stealing cheating scandal, which has implicated not only the Houston Astros but also the Boston Red Sox.

Early this week, LA Dodgers star outfielder Mookie Betts outed the Red Sox, claiming the team’s video-taped sign-stealing practices were known among players and coaches.

Betts played on the Red Sox team that beat his current team in the 2018 World Series, one year after the Astros beat the Dodgers in the 2017 series. The 2017 Astros were also accused of sign-stealing.

In both instances, however, both teams were mildly punished, and it appears neither one will be stripped of its World Series title. Betts’ Dodgers begin their spring training scheduled this weekend, as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
