The number of migrants with suspected terrorist ties encountered at the US border increased 15% in July alone.
The total number jumped from 380 to 440 last month, 85% of which were caught at the northern border. At a House Judiciary Committee hearing last month, Republican Rep. Darrell Issa (Calif.) pressed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on the status of these suspected terrorists.
One month later, Mayorkas still has not handed over that information. This comes as a recent poll showed that an overwhelming 82% of Americans said they are concerned about the situation at the border.
