ORLANDO – Saturday, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) told a packed crowd at CPAC that he welcomes Democratic criticisms of his 11-point plan for America.

“This plan is not for the faint at heart,” Scott said. “It will trigger a lot of people. It’s going to be ridiculed by the Left, mocked by Washington insiders, and strike fear in the hearts of Republicans. If this plan doesn’t scare Washington, we certainly haven’t aimed high enough. [Based] on the way Democrats are attacking me this week, I’d say we hit the bullseye.”

Last week, Scott released his “Rescue America” plan and became the first Republican to indicate what Conservatives might do if they regained power in Washington. While Scott’s plan has 11 points, critics have zeroed in on a secondary policy point: addressing the fact that many Americans face a net tax burden of $0.

However, the senator said his plan was meant to combat what he called the “militant Left,” who Scott accused of seeking to destroy, among other things, American history, patriotism, morality, fiscal responsibility, individualism, Judeo Christian values, law enforcement, and parental involvement in education.

“They want to end the American experiment,” Scott said. “They want to replace freedom with control.”

Scott said modern Leftists want “woke, government-run everything.”

“In their new, socialist America, everyone will obey, and no one will be allowed to complain,” Scott said. “If you do speak up, boom! You will be canceled.  Your views, if they don’t conform to Big Tech, Fauci, or Neil Young, you’re going to be kicked off of Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.”

The senator predicted that, owing to the growing unpopularity of Democratic policies and cancel culture, Republicans were primed to make major gains in the 2022 midterm elections, but Scott said he worried Conservatives had not articulated what changes they’d attempt to affect.

“After we win, then what?” Scott asked. He added, “if we have no bigger plan than [being] a speedbump on a road to America’s collapse, we actually don’t deserve the government.”

For that reason, Scott said, he created the “Rescue America” plan, which features more than 120 policy goals.

Were the entire plan to come to fruition, Scott said, children in U.S. schools would be required to say the Pledge of Allegiance and stand for the National Anthem, racially identifying questions would be removed from all government forms, the United States would officially recognize the existence of just two genders, and national legislators and federal bureaucrats would face term limits.

Further, Socialism would be classified as a foreign adversarial force detrimental to the wellbeing of the United States and, the most profound change, the United States would sever its economic relationship with China.

“We must extract ourselves from dependence on Communist China and stop buying anything from Communist China,” Scott said. “It’s pretty simple. They want to destroy us, and we cannot rely on them for anything. Not pharmaceuticals, computer chips, TVs, clothing, cheap toys … any of their crap.”

Scott further delighted the CPAC crowd by pointing out that his plan called for anti-voter-fraud measures and would fund the completion of a wall on the Southern border of the U.S. Scott received his biggest ovation when he promised to name the wall after former President Donald J. Trump.
