Cruz and Popovich take shots at each other over gun rights

Controversy is stirring in Texas.

Yesterday, Senator Ted Cruz criticized San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich over his controversial comments on gun rights.

Earlier this week, Popovich berated Cruz’s opinions for stronger security in schools and public places.

This comes in the wake of last year’s Uvalde school shooting and, more recently, the Covenant Christian school massacre in Tennessee.

But Cruz called Popovich’s claims hypocritical. He cited the fact that at every NBA game in which he coaches, Popovich is protected by armed guards in the stadium, both in the tunnels and in the stands.
