A super PAC encouraging Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to run for president released its first video ad on Thursday.
“When the world went mad, we stood as a refuge of sanity,” the video says. “Whether forged in our upbringing, built on the belief to compete and win, or cemented in service to country.”
It continues, “Across the country, men and women willing to fight Standing up for our children, their education, and a better future. Pushing back against the woke Left and unleashing a next-generation economy.”
The ad shows a clip of DeSantis speaking, saying “You’re coming after the rights of parents; I’m standing in your way. Freedom is here to stay.”
“We believe freedom is worth fighting for. We never back down,” the ad concludes.

The pro-DeSantis super PAC was launched last month and has raised $30 million in under four weeks.
Never Back Down is led by led by former Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, with Erin Perrine – the press communications director for Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign- serving as the PAC’s communications director.
