DeSantis losing momentum for 2024 presidential bid

In the political realm, Ron DeSantis already appears to be losing momentum against former President Donald Trump.

DeSantis hasn’t yet announced his candidacy, but insiders say that’s happening this next week. In the mean time, the governor is considered to be the former president’s main rival.

But the latest Rasmussen Report shows there is now a 45-point difference between the two in Trump’s favor. Just a few months ago, there was only a 20-point difference.

The widening gap show that Trump’s attacks might be working.

In recent days, Trump says the governor is being “absolutely destroyed by Disney.”

He also says many pro-lifers think Florida’s six-week abortion ban is “too harsh.”

The polls aren’t the only indicator of a faltering campaign.

The governor supposedly told donors that Trump cannot win the 2024 election against Biden. But major donors are hesitant to back DeSantis and frequently point to the abortion ban as to why.

Meanwhile South Carolina Senator Tim Scott has officially thrown his hat in the ring for the GOP’s presidential nominee.
