Fox’s Bret Baier puts Trump on the spot in heated interview

Former President Trump continues to put himself in front of the camera to campaign for his bid in the 2024 presidential race, even though he faces numerous ongoing civil and criminal cases; and, during a recent interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, things got rather intense.

In an exclusive on Baier’s “Special Report,” the Fox News anchor questioned Trump on his indictment and other topics regarding his campaign.

The interview started off cordial, with Trump offering a list of the things he looks forward to tackling if he is elected for a second term.

Then, Baier moved into the classified documents case, and the conversation heated considerably.

Trump first defended his decision to keep the boxes of classified documents after requests from the National Archives – while simultaneously blasting other politicians like Biden and Pence.

Baier moved to a specific point of the case involving audio of Trump saying he had one document that he “could have” declassified but didn’t. The information in question was related to a planned strike on Iran. Trump claims that this wasn’t in reference to a certain classified document, but a gathering of articles and papers.

Eventually, the two began discussing what Trump’s future administration might look like. Baier read a list of derogatory statements Trump made about some of his former staff, which the former President said he would mend by appointing better and stronger people.

The questions appeared to get on Trump’s nerves, and at one point said Fox News wasn’t his “favorite” station anymore. Baier confronted him on this.

Among voters, Trump still appears to be a more favorable option over Biden. A recent Rasmussen poll showed that, in a rematch between the two, Trump beats the current President by 6 percentage points.
