The Israel Defense Forces are targeting Gaza’s two largest hospitals alleging them to be hiding Hamas command centers.
IDF believes both al-Shifa and al-Quds hospitals are hiding Hamas operations. They’ve posted aerial images that appear to show tunnel entries and militant troops outside the facilities.
But aid groups warn that bombardment near the hospitals could violate international humanitarian law. Hamas claims more than 1,500 patients remain at al-Shifa, including dozens of babies in need of intensive care.
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari says Israel is working to evacuate the children.
Meanwhile, IDF posted a video of troops delivering 300 liters of fuel to the hospital. But they say Hamas is forbidding the hospital from taking it.
