Top leaders from Iran and Hamas recently held an in-person meeting to discuss the conflict in Gaza.
Iranian state media confirmed yesterday that the nation’s supreme leader met with Hamas’ leader. This happened in Tehran at an unspecified point last week.
The Iranian leader was briefed on the latest developments and “the crimes of the Zionist regime.” He expressed regret at the so-called crimes, which he reportedly claimed were “supported directly by Washington and some Western countries.”
The supreme leader also reiterated Iranian support for the Axis of Resistance.
Iran denies any role in helping the militants plan their surprise attack one month ago but has warned Israel of harsh consequences if the nation continues its attacks on the Strip.
