The federal government’s criminal investigation into Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings and whether they had any impact on Joe Biden’s decisions as president or vice president is being corrupted by lies and politics, according to one Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agent.

News of this broke Wednesday when that agent’s lawyer, Mark Lytle, sent a letter to leaders in both parties of Congress. In it, the client is identified as an “IRS criminal supervisory special agent” who has already made “legally protected disclosures internally at the IRS, through counsel to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, and to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General.”

According to the letter, this IRS agent claims these disclosures “contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee, involve failure to mitigate clear conflicts of interest in the ultimate disposition of the case, and detail examples of preferential treatment and politics improperly infection decisions and protocols that would normally be followed by career law enforcement professionals in similar circumstances if the subject were not politically connected.”

The agent is now ready to make protected whistleblower disclosures to Congress in the face of “serious risks of retaliation.”

This latest development has prompted lawmakers like, Republican Congressman Russell Fry of South Carolina, to feel like “we’re at the tip of the iceberg of what’s really going on with the Biden family’s business schemes.”

“This is really problematic for the Biden family, and my question is how deep does it go,” Fry stated. “It’s already alarming to me and the American people that we’re even in this position to begin with.”

The whistleblower reportedly already brought information to the IRS and DOJ but was ignored.

TANGLED WEB OF BUSINESS DEALINGS

Meanwhile, in addition to the federal investigation, House Republicans are now investigating nine members of President Joe Biden’s family and their business affairs. Specifically, investigators are looking into family members’ “business schemes,” according to House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.).

“Thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family, their companies, and associates’ business schemes were made available to members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which confirm the importance of this investigation,” Comer said in a statement.

“The Biden family enterprise is centered on Joe Biden’s political career and connections, and it has generated an exorbitant amount of money for the Biden family,” he continued. “We’ve identified six additional members of Joe Biden’s family who may have benefited from the Biden family’s businesses that we are investigating, bringing the total number of those involved or benefiting to nine.”

Comer hasn’t released the names of the Biden family members who are being investigated but says they “engaged in deceptive, shady business schemes to avoid scrutiny as they made millions from foreign adversaries like China.”

CONGRESS MEMBERS QUESTION PROTECTION OF BIDEN

Other lawmakers are targeting the Biden administration for allegedly “blocking” Congress and the public from knowing more about the Biden family’s business dealings with China.

U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee recently shared this on social media: “Joe and Hunter Biden have been making shady business deals for decades behind the backs of every American. It’s time we get answers and accountability.”

Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson of Texas went as far as to say U.S. Attorney Merrick Garland should be impeached.

“An IRS supervisor told lawmakers that he has information that the DOJ is INTENTIONALLY MISHANDLING its investigation into Hunter Biden,” Jackson tweeted. “If this is true, Garland needs to be IMPEACHED!! The Biden Crime Family SHOULD NOT receive ANY special treatment!!”

Since 2018, Hunter Biden has faced a federal investigation that is being led by Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss. That investigation concerns the suspicious activity reports (SARs) that highlight suspicious foreign transactions.

On Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called for Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to publicly release the SARs that were found among the Biden family’s tax records.

Both Hunter and President Biden have denied wrongdoing pertaining to the criminal investigation.
