While Americans across the country celebrated the July 4th holiday with cookouts and parades, some left wing chose instead to slander the country’s founding.
Progressive House Democrat Jamaal Bowman took to Twitter posting, ‘This July 4th, we must remember that we stand on stolen land toiled by enslaved Africans.”
That message was echoed by the left-wing ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s. The company released a statement that read, “The United States was founded on stolen indigenous land. This fourth of July, let’s commit to returning it.”
Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush decried the Declaration of Independence as being ” written by enslavers who didn’t recognize Black people as human.”
She went on to demand reparations for black Americans.
