The U.S. Surgeon General released an advisory in May calling attention to the public health crisis of loneliness, isolation, and lack of connection in our country. But one Biblical mandate may be the nation’s cure.

Psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen laid out the severity of the wave of loneliness that America is facing. He says that “we’re more disconnected than ever before.”

He blames the loneliness on social media, screen time, and the pandemic. But the doctor prescribed one thing in particular as a remedy to this loneliness epidemic: attending church.

This comes as the U.S. Census recently revealed that a record number of Americans are now living alone. But praise God He created a beautiful system to combat loneliness and isolation, and that’s the local church.
