‘Not a normal court,’ Biden reacts to affirmative action ruling

We have a lot of news to get to concerning the Supreme Court – so let’s start by looking at President Biden’s reaction to yesterday’s landmark ruling ending affirmative action in higher education.

The court ruled 6-3 that race based admission policies violate the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. President Biden said he disagreed with the ruling and attacked the court as not normal. He later explained what he meant on MSNBC.

Republicans criticized Biden for the comment. Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee fired back, saying “The Biden presidency is not a normal presidency.” Despite his criticism, Biden says he has no plans to pack the court.
