A tragic report shows that at least 38 women and girls have died as a result of abortions in New York since the practice was legalized in 1970.
The Washington Stand shared many of the shocking accounts, including that of a 13-year-old girl. In many cases, the women were left unattended and bled out after botched abortions. The reports says that the number of deaths is likely much higher since the data exludes Planned Parenthood facilities.
Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul signed over $35 million in abortion grants in May of 2022. This included grants to beef up security around abortion facilities. At the same time, she failed fund security for crisis pregnancy centers, despite an uptick in violent attacks at those organizations.
Instead, she launched an investigation into these pro-life centers, including their client and donor lists. A final report from that investigation is due December 2023.
