A new Gallup Poll reveals that purpose and company mission hold similar values to a job’s pay in the eyes of graduates across the country. 25% of all graduates and 22% of new graduates in the study said: “mission and purpose of the job” were the things that qualified a good first job. For others, the pay was the thing that made their first job a good one.

The study goes on to say that actually, what equals a good job for various people = isn’t the point. Rather, it’s making sure they get a job in the first place. The Gallup article suggests talking to professionals and employers in one’s desired field, pursuing real-world experiences, and utilizing university career services in order to find the best options available.
