President Biden is taking a big gamble by making his economic policies a key focus of his reelection campaign. Speaking in Chicago Wednesday, the president gave a speech touting what he calls “Bidenomics.”
During his speech, Biden attacked Republican “trickle-down economics” and focused on his record of spending billions on public projects.
But the “Bidenomics” spin may be a hard sell. During his time in office, President Biden has been dogged by record-high inflation, which he blames on the war in Ukraine.
But Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says inflation is the main feature of “Bidenomics.”
Biden’s speech comes as a new Gallup poll shows that Americans are more than twice as likely to hold a negative view of the economy than a positive one.
