This past weekend, an irate pro-abortionist allegedly assaulted an unsuspecting and innocent pro-life teenager in what appears to be the latest attack ignored by liberal media outlets during a spike in violence and criminal actions perpetrated by proponents of abortion against defenders of unborn life.
Sunday, 18-year-old Grace Hartsock was going door-to-door in Kansas City as part of the organization Students for Life to encourage people to vote for pro-life candidates in Kansas.
Reports indicate that she went to a home, where a female resident, though not interested in Hartsock’s cause, was polite and reasonable. Hartsock exited the premises after a brief exchange.
As she walked away from the door, another female who was inside the house, reportedly the resident’s adult daughter, stormed out of the home and began yelling obscenities at Hartsock. She reportedly shoved the teenager in the chest, punched her repeatedly, and said such things as, “I hope you get raped,” and “I hope you get run over by a car.” She also allegedly threw bits of food at Hartsock.
Video evidence of part of the incident can be found in Students for Life’s report on the exchange. Reports also indicate that the assailant’s mother tried to intervene on behalf of Hartsock and keep the peace as her daughter raged against the teen.
Thankfully, Hartsock was not seriously injured. She has since filed a police report about the incident.
Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins said after the incident, “In knocking on thousands of doors nationwide, we’ve never experienced such an unprovoked attack.”
Hartsock has since returned to the streets with Students for Life, undeterred in her cause to fight the evils of abortion in America. She summarized the sentiments of many Christians and conservatives who have highlighted the inherent hypocrisy in proponents of abortion who claim to be “pro-woman,” yet justify and even encourage violence against any women who disagree with them.
“It’s unfathomable that the pro-choice movement claims to be ‘pro-woman’ and yet attacks women who don’t agree with their narrative,” she said. “It’s not surprising to me that a person who advocates for violence in the womb wouldn’t hesitate to attack a pro-life woman like myself.”
The fight for life in Hartsock’s home state will likely intensify, as the majority of Kansas voters elected on August 3 to keep legal protections for abortion access in place.
