San Francisco Crime: Cash App founder killed

by ian

Cash App founder Bob Lee died on Tuesday in what appears to be a random stabbing.

The tech executive was stabbed in the early morning hours in a quiet San Francisco neighborhood. Police haven’t yet identified or apprehended the attacker.

Other tech executives expressed grief at the unexpected news, including Elon Musk. The Tesla CEO added that violent crime in the city was horrific and “even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately.”

San Francisco has become a sort of poster child for failed “soft on crime” policies. Burglary and other violent crimes rose under the former district attorney. His successor has kept the cashless bail policy he started, which allows criminals to walk free before their trial.

It should be noted that Lee’s attack happened in a neighborhood that employs 24/7 private security. This illustrates how wide-reaching crime can be.

Yet San Francisco Mayor Noel Breed assured everyone the city was “prioritizing public safety” while expressing sympathy to Lee’s family and friends.
