Thanksgiving Day is approaching, and while shoppers have to be prudent with their spending this year, one East-Coast-based convenience store chain is making sure travelers can get to their destinations affordably.

Many Americans may not be familiar with Sheetz gas stations, but they are a staple in communities across North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Ohio. Operating over 640 stores, Sheetz locations serve as a place to not only fill up your gas tank, or grab some convenience store essentials. They also boast a full menu with sandwiches and salads that can be ordered through their digital terminals.

From Nov. 21st through Nov. 28th, throughout Thanksgiving week and weekend, Sheetz announced that they will be slashing the price of unleaded 88 (E15) to just $1.99 per gallon. This comes as the U.S. average price per gallon is $3.65.

According to the company’s press release, unleaded 88 is U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved for vehicles made in 2001 or later, including trucks and SUVs. It contains 15 % ethanol, 5% more than the regular unleaded 87 variety.

As an added bonus, new Sheetz Rewardz members who use the code FUELUP88 to sign up and purchase the discounted gas during the promotional period can receive 500 rewards points within 24 hours of the promotion ending. Rewards points can be redeemed in stores for food, drinks, and even fuel discounts.

“Sheetz is a family-owned and operated company and we are always looking for ways to help the communities we serve,” said Sheetz President and CEO, Travis Sheetz. “We are excited to extend this offer to our customers as many of them start hitting the road for the Thanksgiving holiday.”

Along with looking out for their customers, Sheetz employs over 23,500 people and was recognized on Fortune’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work For.

The promotion will be available at the 368 Sheetz locations that carry Unleaded 88. Sheetz encouraged customers in their press release to use their mobile App to confirm if their local Sheetz locations sell this variety.
