Texas hospital continued secret sex-change operations on children

The country’s largest children’s hospital is performing sex-change procedures on children, despite claiming they no longer do this.

Texas Children’s Hospital said over a year ago they would end transgender services for those under 18 in March of last year. This followed a state-launched investigation into potential child abuse through these services.

Now, a whistleblower says the hospital secretly continued gender-affirming care for children.

One doctor allegedly has used puberty blockers since then on multiple patients, including on two different 11-year-olds. Another doctor keeps a heavy caseload of minor gender dysphoria patients. He is on record for prescribing hormone replacement therapy.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton opened an investigation into the hospital earlier today. He said, “I’ve been clear that any ‘gender transitioning’ procedures that hurt our children constitute child abuse under Texas law.”

Earlier this month, he launched a similar investigation into Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Meanwhile, state legislators passed a bill codifying a statewide ban on these procedures for children earlier this week.
