South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott has officially suspended his campaign for the Republican nomination. He made the announcement during an appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Night in America.”
Scott did not make any further endorsements upon his exit from the race and said he believed lending his support to another candidate would not be the most helpful thing for him to do. Instead, he urged voters to “study each candidate” to “make the best decision for the future of their country.”
He also dismissed the possibility of appearing on a Republican ticket as vice president.
