Early Saturday morning, former President Donald Trump claimed that portions of the United States Constitution should be terminated in response to journalist Matt Taibbi’s recent investigation into a Twitter cover-up of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Trump took to TRUTH Social to once again question the 2020 election, suggesting that election fraud would even allow for the termination of aspects of the Constitution.

So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!

Both those in the Biden administration and GOP members quickly condemned Trump’s declaration to dissolve parts of the Constitution.

In response to Trump’s post, the White House on Sunday issued a statement saying “the American Constitution is a sacrosanct document that for over 200 years has guaranteed that freedom and the rule of law prevail in our great country. The Constitution brings the American people together – regardless of party – and elected leaders swear to uphold it … Attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation, and should be universally condemned.”

Rep. Mike Turner, when asked if Trump’s comments should disqualify him from pursuing public office, said “It is certainly not consistent with the oath that we all take,” adding that he “vehemently disagrees” with Trump’s statement.

Taibbi posted the so-called “Twitter Files,” which detailed findings of an alleged Twitter cover-up of a New York Post story, which ran just before the 2020 presidential election.

The now-infamous allegations contend that, among other cover-ups, President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, collaborated with an energy company, Burisma, in Ukraine to essentially gain favor and influence for their company from then-Vice President Biden in exchange for a high-paying job for Hunter.

President Biden has been accused of having a conflict of interest when it comes to his dealings with Ukraine because of his son’s business affairs in the country.

According to the New York Post, “Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company.”

A 2020 Senate committee report detailed evidence of alleged corruption within the Biden family.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the Finance Majority Committee reported that,

Hunter Biden was paid as much as $50,000 per month to serve on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas company with a corrupt owner, while his father was the public face of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy. But Burisma was not the only example of Hunter Biden seeking to monetize his family name. During the course of [the] investigation, Chairman Grassley and Chairman Johnson uncovered additional examples of Hunter Biden, other family members, and their business associates pursuing financial arrangements with foreign nationals in various parts of the world.

The story was largely covered up by big tech, including Twitter.

Taibbi reported that “Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be ‘unsafe.’ They even blocked its transmission via direct message.”

Additionally, Trump Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, was locked out of her Twitter account at the time for posting details about the story, and Twitter employees appeared to scramble to find a reasonable explanation as to why the story was being suppressed.

According to Taibbi, the decision given to the public to cover up the story was that the information in the story may have been false or hacked.

“Hacking was the excuse,” explained a former employee of Twitter. “But within a few hours, pretty much everyone realized that wasn’t going to hold. But no one had the guts to reverse it.”

Several top GOP leaders have not yet commented on Trump’s statements, to the ire of mainstream media outlets. Some have pointed out the fact that Taibbi’s report has yet to be picked up by many of these same news outlets, who have only chosen to discuss Trump’s statements in regard to the story.

On Monday, Ted Cruz retweeted a post from Clay Travis, a conservative radio talk show host, questioning why Taibbi’s story isn’t receiving more news coverage.

“It has now been two days since [Twitter] & [Elon Musk] posted actual emails & correspondence of internal documents relating to the Hunter Biden laptop censorship in 2020,” Travis wrote. “The [New York Times] has still not covered the story at all.”
