Can God use a wrong text message to radically change your life? That’s what happened to two strangers, who celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary later this year.
Brenda mistakenly texted her now-husband, Isaiah Stearns when she lived in Georgia. She thought she was texting her sister’s friend in Ohio. But she sent out a Bible verse that proved to be providential encouragement for Isaiah. In fact it went to a phone number he had only had for a few hours at that point.
He texted her back, then later called to thank her and was impressed with her love for God. The two started calling each other on a regular basis.
Not long after that, Brenda had to move back to her family’s home. That brought her within an hour of where Isaiah lived. They married six months later.
The couple now has six children. Brenda credits God with bringing them together.
