Last week, sources confirmed that 17 girls were kidnapped in the Borno region of Nigeria by the Islamic terrorist group ISIS.

Sources reveal that the abduction was part of an attack by the terrorists on a Christian community in the region. On Friday, ISIS took responsibility for the killing of “many Christians,” and on Saturday news broke that they had also taken the 17 girls hostage.

Sources claim some of these girls are as young as 10 years old. One resident said,

Some of them (the abducted girls) are 10, 11, 12 years. They just parked their vehicle near the compounds. You know, as children, they just carried them and put them in the vehicle.

Nigeria has been a breeding ground for open persecution against Christian communities in the last year, especially from Islamist terrorists.

This is still a developing story, and there is not much more information at this point. FISM News will provide updates as they come, and we ask you to pray for the protection and safe release of these 17 girls.
