Several anti-Israel protesters were arrested in Chicago yesterday after they breached a security fence outside the DNC.
Thousands of protestors rallied near the convention center, demanding an end to the war in Gaza while condemning President Joe Biden for supporting Israel.
Similar chants were also made about Vice President Kamala Harris. During the protests, far-left independent candidate Cornel West held a so-called “abandon Harris” campaign rally during which he said the Palestinian people are facing genocide.
The pro-Israel organization, NGO Monitor, reports that many of the groups behind the protests have “led and participated in antisemitic and pro-terror events” in the past. This includes the National Students for Justice in Palestine, which called Hamas’ October 7th terror attack “a historic win for the Palestinian resistance.”
This comes as some protesters are openly displaying their support for Hamas and other terror groups.
