AstraZeneca admits rare blood clot side effect from COVID vaccine

Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca admits that its COVID-19 vaccine can cause deadly blood clots.

TTS is a rare reaction that’s at the heart of a multi-million-dollar class action lawsuit involving dozens of families in a British high court. The victims allege that either they or their loved ones were harmed or killed by what they say is a “defective” vaccine.

Critics suggest the chance for the side effect is 1 in 50,000. The manufacturer admitted for the first time in a recent filing that the jab “can, in very rare cases, cause TTS.”

However, AstraZeneca argues the trigger for the side effect is unknown and can occur independently.
