Bank of America allegedly ‘de-banking’ conservatives

Bank of America has been accused of de-banking conservatives and Christians.

This week, a group of 15 state attorneys general wrote a letter to Bank of America accusing it of what could amount to illegal discrimination. In the letter, the attorneys point to examples of the bank shutting down accounts of various ministries with little explanation. One of those ministries was “Timothy Two Project International,” which trains pastors around the world.

But it’s not just ministries. Earlier this week, former Trump attorney John Eastman said he’d been de-banked twice in the last few months – from Bank of America and USAA. Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita says the practice is unacceptable.

Bank of America denies discrimination, pointing to the large number of religious groups that it serves.
