Biden administration makes it harder to fire federal employees

President Joe Biden appears to be trying to hamstring Donald Trump should he retake the White House next year.

The Biden administration yesterday announced a new policy that will make it harder for future presidents to fire federal workers. According to a press release from the Office of Personnel Management, the new rules protect bureaucrats by adding requirements meant to make the firing process more complex and time-consuming.

The Daily Caller describes the rule as a response to an executive order signed by President Trump in 2020 making it easier to fire policy-influencing federal employees.

Trump and his allies say purging the federal government of entrenched bureaucrats, who they say undermined his previous administration, will be a top priority should he win reelection this November.
