Biden draw criticism after U.N. allows sanctions to expire on Iran missile exports

Hamas might soon see an increase in support from Iran as the United Nations on Wednesday allowed an embargo against Iran’s ability to procure and sell missiles to expire.

Former Trump security advisor Richard Goldberg says the Biden administration gave a gift to Iran, by failing to push snapback sanctions to prevent the measure from expiring. The embargo was part of the Obama-era 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and its expiration will allow Tehran to buy and sell missiles for the first time in years.

The U.S. State Department says it hopes to keep in place U.S. sanctions on Iranian missiles. But the Washington Examiner notes those sanctions would do nothing to stop other countries, such as Russia, from buying Iranian missiles.
