President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump had disparate New Year’s messages for America.
The sitting president was asked about his 2024 hopes during a pre-taped interview with Ryan Seacrest that aired during ABC’s New Year’s Bash.
In a more candid moment, Biden told reporters while vacationing in St. Croix that his resolution is to “come back next year.” He did not elaborate on what he meant by that, but he posted on X a vow to “fight back against MAGA extremism” in 2024.
Meanwhile, Trump posted a New Year’s greeting to “Crooked Joe Biden and his group of Radical Left Misfits & Thugs.” He wrote that the Biden administration is allowing illegal immigrants into the country so they can vote in the 2024 presidential election.
The contrasting posts hint at campaign messaging for the coming months.
