The U.S. held its Holocaust remembrance today as politicians and leaders gathered at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial in Washington, D.C.

President Joe Biden gave a speech during the event during which he warned of the growing threat of antisemitism at home and abroad – comparing the Hamas October 7 attack to the Holocaust.

Biden also spoke intending to try to satisfy a divided United States over support for Israel. Biden said his commitment to Israel was ironclad even amid disagreements. He also touched on the nationwide college campus protests, condemning the threats and hate speech but trying to show support for the American right to protest.
