Biden delivers fiery, politically charged State of Union

President Joe Biden delivered the final State of the Union address of his term last night, during which he set the tone for his upcoming rematch with former President Donald Trump. Biden began his fiery and politically charged speech by issuing the familiar claim that democracy is at stake and under threat from the right.

Biden went on to accuse Trump of bowing to Russia, blocking the Senate’s bipartisan border bill, and threatening American freedoms – using abortion as his main example.

When not attacking the former president, Biden defended his record on the economy, claiming Bidenomics has been a major success.

Biden also touted the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill and his efforts to end junk fees and cancel student debt.
