Biden education official steps down over Israel conflict

Dissent continues to grow inside the Biden administration as a top Education official stepped down yesterday over disagreements with the president’s handling of the war in Gaza.

In his resignation letter, Tariq Habash, a Palestinian American, said the White House is turning a blind eye to atrocities committed against Palestinians and accused Israel of committing genocide.

He is the second Biden official to quit over the war in Gaza. Senior State Department official Josh Paul announced his resignation in October only weeks after the war began. At the time, Paul said he disagreed with sending additional military aid to Israel.
