President Joe Biden spoke in Chicago yesterday for the opening night of the DNC. During his speech, Biden passed the torch to Kamala Harris, expressing his support for the Harris-Walz ticket.
Biden contrasted Harris to former President Donald Trump, who Biden said remains a threat to democracy.
Democrats presented a united front against the former president. Other speakers included Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
