The Biden administration continues to push its far-left transgender policies, most recently with President Biden’s Wednesday Proclamation on Transgender Day of Visibility to “recognize the resilience, strength, and joy of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming people.”

During his announcement, Biden referenced Florida’s recent passage of the Parental Rights in Education bill which transgender activists, progressive Democrats, and the mainstream media continue to falsely label as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

“In the past year, hundreds of anti-transgender bills in States were proposed across America, most of them targeting transgender kids,” Biden said. “The onslaught has continued this year.  These bills are wrong.  Efforts to criminalize supportive medical care for transgender kids, to ban transgender children from playing sports, and to outlaw discussing LGBTQI+ people in schools undermine their humanity and corrode our nation’s values.”

The White House has announced plans to host to a slew of events honoring transgender Americans, a group the administration calls “some of the bravest people in our nation.” Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will meet with openly transgender “Jeopardy!” champion Amy Schneider, who had the second-longest winning streak in the show’s  history, and will moderate a discussion with transgender children, their parents, and advocates to discuss the impact of “anti-trans” laws.

Earlier this month, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary Rachel Levine, the first openly transgender person to hold an office requiring Senate confirmation, met virtually with LGBTQI+ students to discuss the impact of the Florida legislation.

In conjunction with the Presidential proclamation, the administration announced a laundry list of new tax-funded measures the administration will implement to promote transgenderism, including:

  • Starting April 11, 2022, U.S. citizens will be able to choose “X” as their “gender marker” on passport applications;
  • The TSA will replace “gender-based” screenings like pat-downs with new body scanner technology;
  • The administration will disseminate “Mental health resources for transgender youth;”
  • Funds will be made available to offer additional training for school personnel on “the challenges faced by many transgender and nonbinary students and strategies and actions for providing support;”
  • Ensuring steps to confirm “the positive impact of gender affirming care on youth mental health;” and that “gender-affirming care is trauma-informed care;” and
  • Implementing resources to support children with information about “gender-affirming care.”

The White House also announced that the Department of Health and Human Services has become the first federal agency to fly a “trans pride flag.”
