Biden protects state-crossing abortionists in new rule

President Joe Biden is taking new steps to defend abortion. The White House finalized a new rule yesterday meant to protect women who travel out of state to get an abortion.

It does so by shielding their medical records from criminal investigations. The goal is to specifically protect women who live in pro-life states from prosecution. More than a dozen Republican states have spoken out against the rule, arguing it illegally interferes with their ability to enforce their laws.

This comes as 22 Democratic states already have measures in place protecting medical records from investigations in states where abortion is banned.

Currently, there are no known cases of law enforcement seeking medical records related to out-of-state abortions.
