Israel and Hamas have reportedly agreed to extend the truce for two more days as it was set to expire tonight at midnight.
The announcement came earlier today from Qatari mediators who wrote on X, “An agreement has been reached to extend the humanitarian truce for an additional two days in the Gaza Strip.”
A Hamas official and the White House have since confirmed an agreement has been reached. The Hamas representative told Reuters the agreement is operating “with the same conditions as in the previous truce.”
Reports suggest Hamas will release another 20 hostages in exchange for 60 Palestinian prisoners. Those details have yet to be confirmed at this time.
