Cellphone data implies DA Willis lied about start of relationship with Trump prosecutor

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is still in hot water after cell phone records appeared to contradict her testimony last week, namely about when her relationship with Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade began.

An independent investigator found that Willis and Wade called each other more than 2,000 times, and sent nearly 12,000 messages, in the first 11 months of 2021.

Wade also claimed that he visited Willis’s condo no more than 10 times before his hire date, which was in November of that year. However, cell towers placed him near the DA’s home nearly three dozen times before then.

If Trump’s legal team proves that Willis lied, it could unravel her election interference case. The judge has yet to decide if he’ll admit the new findings.
