Chicago Public Schools Providing Condoms In Most Campuses, Even Elementary Schools

The utter depravity of man continues to show itself in the 21st century, most recently in the public school system.  Once again, the sexual revolution is on the move, and once again, the target is children.

In the last several weeks, the Chicago Public School (CPS) Board of Education announced that it will be providing condoms for any students in the 5th grade or higher.  That means that these sexual/reproductive items will now be found for use in elementary schools in the Chicago area.

This is shocking news, yet one which the CPS Board of Education claims is a necessary element of the proper sexual education curriculum.  CPS doctor and pediatrician Kenneth Fox did his best to paint this as a “need” for young people to make wise reproductive decisions:

Young people have the right to accurate and clear information to make healthy decisions.  And they need access to resources to protect their health and the health of others as they act on those decisions….When you don’t have those protections and don’t make those resources available then bad stuff happens to young people. You have elevated risks of sexually transmitted infections, of unintended pregnancies, and that’s very preventable stuff.

Dr. Fox is woefully attacking the symptom and not the disease.  Young people need to be taught to live purely for the glory of God by abstaining from premarital sex.  Instead, they are given tools they can use to have “safe sex” if they choose to do so at the age of 10 or 11 years old.  The message these people in authority are sending to the youth of Chicago is, “We expect and even encourage you to be licentious in your sexual activity as a child, so here are some ways you can do that while preventing a pregnancy.”

Chicago schools will re-open at full capacity in person at the end of August for the first time since the pandemic lockdowns.  Hopefully, those parents who believe in upholding a biblical worldview in Chicago will fight against this, for the protection of their impressionable children.
