FISM news is following two developments at the top of Christian news headlines, both involving Christian celebrities.
The first involves Samaritan’s Purse founder and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Rev. Franklin Graham, who underwent serious heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota on Nov. 8. The 69-year-old son of late pastor Billy Graham was released on Tuesday and appears to be recovering.
Graham posted on Facebook after his release,
I wanted to let you know that I was released from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, yesterday, after a specialized surgery last Monday to correct constrictive pericarditis…Thank you to everyone for your prayers — I know what a difference prayer makes! I was never afraid. I felt God’s presence throughout the entire experience and give Him the glory.
And in a bright spot to a troubling development that FISM News has followed the last several months, former TLC star Anna Duggar announced via Instagram on Tuesday that her 7th child, a baby girl named Madyson Lily Duggar, was born on Oct. 23. Madyson was 7 pounds and 9 ounces at birth and appears to be doing very well.
Anna is the wife of Joshua Duggar, the controversial former TLC star who is currently awaiting trial for possession of child pornography. Duggar will stand in court on Nov. 30, having pled not guilty to possession of over 200 pornographic images of children. If convicted, he could serve anywhere from 20 to 40 years in prison.
Anna has chosen to remain with her husband despite the controversy surrounding him.
