Concerns mount following Biden’s several speech gaffes in 1 week

President Biden took offense to being called a “well-meaning, elderly man with poor memory” in Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report.

Last night, Biden held a hastily assembled live press conference that was meant to convince the nation of his mental acuity. However, the administration’s effort to combat a wall of Republican criticism that Biden is unfit to serve took a wrong turn when he confused the names of the Mexican and Egyptian leaders. And that wasn’t even the first time this week.

On Wednesday, Biden said he spoke with the late German Chancellor Helmut Kohl back in 2021; Kohl died in 2017. On Monday, Biden claimed to have recently met with “Mitterand,” a French President who died in 1996. But one of the president’s worst moments this week was on Tuesday when he forgot the name Hamas.

A recent NBC News poll shows three-quarters of voters, including half of Democrats, say they have real concerns over Biden’s mental and physical health as president.
