A new Gallup poll shows that conservative thinking among Americans is reaching its highest point in over a decade.
Over the last two years, Americans identifying as conservative on social issues such as transgenderism and abortion rose in from 30% to 38%. At the same time, those who identify as liberal fell from 34% to 29%. Gallup said the last time this many Americans said they were socially conservative was 2012.
The conservative shift happened among all age groups, including young people. Gen Z had the lowest percentage increase from liberal to conservative thinking, while Millennials had the largest jump.
