Crews refloat cargo ship that destroyed Baltimore’s Key Bridge

The cargo ship that destroyed Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge is back on the surface today.

Yesterday morning, crews successfully brought the ship – called the Dali – up from the water. It’s been two months since the accident. During that time there have been 150 underwater missions to cut through the wreckage to free the ship.

The Dali has since been moved to the Port of Baltimore. Officials say they will now work on opening a wider and deeper channel for commercial shipping vessels to pass through.
