Fourteen House Democrats joined Republicans to formally rebuke President Joe Biden over the border crisis, voting yesterday for a resolution brought by Texas Republican Nathaniel Moran.
Twelve Democrats and nine Republicans abstained from voting. The resolution condemns Biden for the “national security and public safety crisis along the southwest border” and calls on the president to “end his administration’s open-borders policies.”
While the vote was largely symbolic, it comes amid growing frustration over the crisis. A recent CBS News poll found that 68 percent of Americans disapprove of how Biden is handling the situation at the border.
