DeSantis takes on Newsom in Fox News debate

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom clashed over a host of hot-button issues during last night’s highly anticipated debate on Fox News.

Newsom called Florida’s six-week abortion ban “extreme”, saying it’s even too strict for former President Donald Trump. Newsom was unwilling to set any limits on abortion in California.

Meanwhile, DeSantis attacked Newsom’s handling of San Francisco’s homelessness crisis, using a rather shocking image to do so.

It remains to be seen if DeSantis will experience a bump in support following last night’s debate as he remains a distant second behind Trump in the Republican primaries.
