The House Homeland Security Committee has released a second report of its investigation into Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, alleging he has “emboldened” cartels and criminals at the southern border.
Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) made similar remarks at a congressional hearing on the border back in July.
The report says these policies have offered “a historic business opportunity for the cartels” who “exert near-complete control at and near the Southwest border.” Green went further to report that border patrol agents are being misused and becoming disillusioned at their posts.
Additionally, this week there was an effort in the House to reduce Mayorkas’ salary to just $1.
