DNC reaffirms Harris as nominee with ceremonial roll call

Kamala Harris made a brief video appearance at the DNC in Chicago last night after the convention held a roll call reconfirming her as the Democrat’s presidential nominee.

The vote was largely ceremonial as delegates already made Harris the official nominee with a virtual vote earlier this month. Harris, who was at a campaign rally in Milwaukee last night, said she was honored by the party’s nomination.

Harris’s running mate, Tim Walz, will speak tonight and formally accept the nomination for VP. And as is the tradition Kamala Harris is giving her speech tomorrow night to close out the convention.
